NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TODAY


In today’s plenary, the Senate passed the following Bills:

1.      AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT BILL
According to Saraki Senate President, the Bill will go a long way in creating new jobs for our youths

2.      CHATERED INSTITUTE OF CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT BILL

Also, the Senate received reports on petitions sent in by:
a.       A petition from Mr Jolomi Arenyeka and two others against Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) from wrongful Disengagement from the service of the Fund

b.      A petition from Colonel Chidi Kalu Ukoha against the  Nigerian Army for his wrongful retirement from the army

c.       A petition from Dr Isah Mohammed Ahmed against Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) for alleged victimization, intimidation and refusal to pay his retirement Benefits


d.      A petition from Njemanze & Njemanze & Co. on behalf of senior staff of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) against National Health Insurance Scheme for cancellation of their 2016 Promotion Examination  

t     The Senate President announced to the senators that the upper chambers will start considerations on the 2018 Budget Appropriation Bill on Tuesday November 22nd 2018
