SENATE ORDERS IG TO REINSTATE ANAMBRA GOVERNOR'S AIDES IMMEDIATELY

In today’s plenary, the Senate passed the Motion on reinstating Obiano's aides.

1.      MOTION ON WITHDRAWAL OF SECURITY AIDES OF ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNOR

The senate deliberated the issue of the withdrawal of the security aides of Anambra State Governor by the IG of police. The senators were disappointed with that singular act by the IG with all those who spoke condemning the act completely.

1.It was stated that the governor has suddenly lost his immunity for an election

2. Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere

3. Does it mean Mr President might suddenly loose his security aides by 2019 elections

4. If we allow the cabals to continue like this, they might bring down our country to its knees

5. Some of the President’s aides are being overzealous in discharging their duties

Senator Olujimi wrapped it up this way, “IG working for everything in the book to substantiate the facts that he withdrew the aides for a sitting governor”

This is a sign of what is to come in 2019 from ruling party they concluded.

The Senate finally resolved:

i.                    Aides of governor must be returned. Nothing like this should ever happen again.

ii.                  Police affairs committee chairman should ensure the aides are returned to Governor Obiano tomorrow and report back to Senate.
