Mohammed Sallah of Egypt who plays for Liverpool has just been crowned the new African Footballer of the year taking over from Aubameynag who won it in 2016.
Three nominess made it to the last stage with Aubemeyang and Sadio Mane completing the list. But Sallah won over his recent sterling performances that saw him top the scorers chat in English league recently.
But Nigeria cannot totally loose out even with the disappointing dropping of Victor Moses from the shortlist as Asisat oshoala won The African Female Footballer of the year for the third time in a row.
