SENATOR DINO MELAYE SPEAKS ABOUT CATTLE COLONY

The Senator Representing Kogi West Senator Dino Melaye has lent his voice in the trending debate about establishment of cattle colonies across Nigeria as the panacea for peace vis a vis ending Fulani Herdsmen blood quest across the country. Reacting to the fact that Kogi State Governor Bello has already acquiesced to the idea and is making efforts with the Minister of Agriculture, he condemned the idea in its entirety for his constituency.

In his words, he said and i quote:

“Therefore, as a true representative of the people of Kogi West senatorial zone and on behalf of my constituents, we warn in strong terms that our soil, land, water and air cannot be used for cattle colonies.
“Let it be clear to all the insensitive people behind the idea that Kogi West will resist the establishment of any cattle colony within our domain politically, spiritually, traditionally and with any means available within the ambit of the law”, he said.
