SENATE APPLAUDS JUDGEMENT ON EFCC

Nigerian Senate has applauded the decision of Abuja High which recognises its constitution rights to confirm , reject or accept any nominee from the President for EFCC Chairman position.

The judgement affirmed that the Senate has rights to accept '“only suitable and credible persons for appointment to the office”, referring to EFCC Chairman position.

The court ruling was obtained on January 15th over a law suit filed by one lawyer Oluwatosin Ojamo questioning if Senate has the powers to reject Magu as ECFF Chairman.
