Our indefatigable Senator
Stella Oduah who is passionate about youth empowerment to help address unemployment
challenges, alleviate poverty and empower a new breed and new generation of entrepreneurs
that will take our economy to another level, is empowering a new set of youth
entrepreneurs today April 13th, 2018 in her constituency.
She has consistently adhered
to this vision and shown her love for the youths with unalloyed commitment to
rescue Nigerian youths from the precipice of unemployment.
To further continue on
this part, she advertised and called for applications from young participants
for the YOUNG ENTREPRENUER ENCOURAGMENT SCHEME to submit their business plan of
N250,000(Two Hundred and Fifty thousand Naira) and N150,000(One Hundred and
Fifty Thousand Naira Only)with the ability to generate ROI(Return On Investment)
within one year.
Today is the day slated
for the recognition of the successful applicants who will go home with the
price award. The best 3 in each group will receive N300,000(Three Hundred
Thousand Naira only) and N200,000(Two Hundred Thousand Naira) respectively. The
venue for the program is Basilica of the Holy Trinity, Onitsha, Anambra State.
It is no longer news
that Nigerian Youths who constitute about 75% of our population of above M170M
people are under severe siege of unemployment and underemployment. Yearly,
millions of Nigerian youths graduate from higher institutions across the country
only to be forced into the already saturated labour market without hope of
employment.
This situation puts
undue pressure on this young people who are desirous to contribute their quota towards
the growth of our economy but are deprived of their dreams due to harsh
economy that is not creating opportunities for them.
Our leaders have consistently
refused to plan for their youths and the ever burgeoning population thereby
forcing the youths into all forms of vices like armed robbery, militancy,
kidnapping, yahoo yahoo, youths restiveness etc.
This validates the
importance of programs like this to help rescue many youths from the part of
desperation to survive.
Senator Oduah, a woman
of vision and passion for the youths, realized all these challenges thats why
she has continued to channel her programs and energy towards empowerment of the
youths to give them a sustainable future that is totally left in their hands as
entrepreneurs.
It is totally
commendable to know that many youths today will go home with a fresh smile of
hope that their future is back in their hands all because of Senator Oduah who
cares and wants a stable future for them and their households.
