UNITED STATES VISA RESTRICTIONS HALTS APCs RIGGING FORMAT

The United States, the number one protagonist of democracy across the world halted APC rigging machine and their format in Nigeria with the successful victory of opposition PDP in just concluded gubernatorial election in EDO State.

Hitherto, the APC has arrogantly continued to rig with impunity without any respect for democracy or rule of law. It has been so glaring that their former chairman Oshiomole the poor labour activist turned Billionaire with the collective wealth of Edo people boldly declared it on stage in Osun state.

The party has gone on rigging spree across the nation with casualties being OSUN, KOGI, BAYELSA, EKITI et al to name but a few.

But at the eve of this particular election, the world police US announced that she has placed VISA ban on politicians in Nigeria that are involved in election rigging . According to the statement:

“In July , we announced the imposition of visa restrictions on Nigerians who undermined the February and March 2019 elections,” Mike Pompeo, secretary of state said in a statement.

“Today, the Secretary of State is imposing additional visa restrictions on individuals for their actions surrounding the November 2019 Kogi and Bayelsa State elections and in the run-up to the September and October 2020 Edo and Ondo State elections.

Pompeo said the individuals have so far operated with impunity at the expense of the Nigerian people and have undermined democratic principles in Nigeria.

This announcement sent shivers into the spines of Nigerian politicians including INEC officials that aid and abet this crime for undisclosed qui pro quo for their self aggrandizement to the detriment of the collective welfare of more than 200million people.

The politicians who have stolen wealth across the world US included know that a US ban will restrict their movement to seek for better health care and better future for even their children who might be caught in the web.

This made it easy for people's votes to count in EDO.

We beckon on US to impose such similar stringent measures during the 2023 elections as Nigerians have suffered enough and will not be made to go through this hell they are going through now if INEC boldly rigs 2023 election AGAIN to the detriment of the collective future of Nigerians for another 8 years of disastrous failure and leadership without direction.

Thank you Trump and we hope this tempo is sustained even in future elections in Nigeria including upcoming Ondo.
