PETER OBI: WILL THE NORTH SHUN BIGOTRY AND GET IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME IN 2027?

Political activities and upheavals are already at top gear if not crescendo with focal point 2027 even though we are barely two years into the present administration with another two years to go before 2027 stares us in the face and total lifting of political activities by INEC.

Once again the North is vocal in their resentment and disapprobation of Tinubu, a man they openly boasted to rig into power as against Peter Obi a Christian from the South East to favour their most cherished Muslim-Muslim ticket as against competence and fairness which favoured Igbo man to be President in 2027.

We are talking about the North and their constant and repeated miscalculation politically as its crystal clear that each time national politics crops up, the North will always align with religion, ethnicity and bigotry over competence and ability to deliver the dividends.

The North championed the attack on Goodluck Jonathan who under his watch Nigeria flourished in global arena, built one of the fastest growing economies in the world with about 7% GDP growth rate. Became the biggest economy in Africa with stable Naira at N200/$ with all indexes pointing towards a strong and emerging economic power in Africa and the world at large.

Out of bigotry, religion and ethnicity, the North unleashed all forms of attack on him including pushing Boko Haram and using it as a bargaining tool to influence US to remove Jonathan who was already in the bad books of Obama for refusing to sanction LGBT rights, instead signed a law that attracts 14years imprisonment for anyone practising gay or lesbianism.

The North knew very well that Buhari was/is a bigot, a complete semi-illiterate who has no clout outside his religion and no single influence on global space even in his favorite Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia etc as they viewed him as being an extremist whose ideologies were too radical for a country that wants to develop away from the shackles of bigotry as practised in Afganistan, Pakistan etc.

They forced Buhari on everyone, a man who openly called for the killing of Christians in 2011 election because he lost election. Up till today, he never condemned the hatred and killing of Christians mainly Igbo youths that worked as NYSC INEC officers in core North. Their sin was that they refused to allow Buhari and Northern underage almajiris and fake ballot stuffing to declare Buhari winner when he lost.

In their desperation, they imported Militia Fulanis from the Sahel region into Nigeria to help in the secret plot to start another war should Buhari loose the 2015 election to Jonathan, a plot they secretly planned with Obama to make sure Jonathan relinquished power at all cost. Buhari openly threatened that the baboons will flow with blood should he loose the election in 2015.

For peace to reign, Jonathan willingly handed over power to Buhari after his famous declaration that his reelection does not worth the blood of any Nigerian.

The North and Buhari had all planned to Islamize Nigeria, open our borders for all Fulanis to take over and resettle by forcefully displacing of indigenous owners of the land through the deceit of Ruga, but God is always ahead of any man.

Unknowing to Buhari and the North, all they planned will backfire on them. First God made sure that Buhari's preferred candidate for the Senate President Ahmed Lawan was outsmarted by Bukola Saraki who was loved across board. That was the first step to dislodge Buharists and all the Fulani plans to turn Nigeria to Fulani by ceding our land to them. 

God used Saraki to fight Buhari and his Ruga which was rejected by Senate under a liberal Muslim like Saraki as Senate President as against Ahmed Lawan who later tuned to be yes sir Senate President for Buhari and passed every request of Buhari. Unfortunately though, all attempts by Ahmed Lawan to represent Ruga failed as Saraki 8th Assembly brought attention and publicity to it as a mere policy to take over people's land and give to Buhari's cousins across the entire Sahel, a subterfuge to give them leeway to kill the indigenous owners of the lands at night someday and take over the entire Nigeria.

When Buhari realised that Ruga was failing, he now openly sanctioned reallocation of all the militants across the forest of Nigeria where they turned bandits who started kidnaping and killing of owners of the land especially in North Central that is mostly Christians in states like Plateau, Benue, Kaduna, Nasarawa etc where they unleashed genocide on Christians who occupy those rich farmlands.

When 2023 came, after Buhari's disastrous 8 years, people thought the North would have learnt the lesson, instead they started championing another Muslim Muslim ticket, a reason why they schemed Amechi and formee Vice President Osinbajo out of the primary to vote Tinubu who was visibly unfit and unhealthy for the challenge of managing a battered Nigeria destroyed by Buhari.

To Nigerians, it was clear that it was the turn of the South East to produce the next President, but the North out of their sheer bigotry championed Muslim Muslim ticket as if that will put food on the table. They openly boasted that they would make sure Tinubu won the election especially with a Northern Muslim Yakubu as INEC chairman.

Consequently, against all odds of electing a sick Tinubu against the fair play that recognised South East as the rightful zone to produce the next President, the North worked assiduously to elect Tinubu who struggled to win in the South, the only zone that votes for competence without any religious sentiments.

Two years down the lines, it has once again dawned on the North that they miscalculated once again in 2023, hence they are back in the trenches crying and forming alliances for 2027. The alliances are good as Tinubu is a catastrophic failure who raised Buhari poor achievement to the power 500 this time, with insecurity now every where, economy totally collapsed, inflation beyond comprehension and poverty worse than even during the war. Infact, Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world, an achievement Tinubu took from Buhari and extended it by destroying the hitherto existing middle class which has forced everyone into the poverty bracket with many dying of hunger, and families struggling vis as vis increased suicide every day.

So, even though the coalition against Tinubu is inevitable to save Nigeria, the big question is, will the North shun bigotry and ethnicity and go for competence and fairness by rallying around Peter Obi as the head of the coalition to lead us to a New Nigeria considering the fact that its still turn of the South, and with Peter Obi's achievement in last election where many thought he actually won the lection but was robbed through INEC and the North conspiracy to install their favorite Muslim Muslim ticket. 

In addition, the South East has never enjoyed the Presidency since this republic, hence the odds favour Peter Obi more than any other person from the South to head the coalition for 2027.

So once again, the question is, Will the North get it right this rime by shunning bigoty and ethnicity by coalescing around Peter Obi to head the 2027 coalition to usher us into the New Nigeria we are dreaming of ?

Any permutation that excludes Peter Obi as the Presidential candidate of the incoming coalition will be dead on arrival. The political sentiments favours the South, thats why APC and Tinubu focus is on Obi. Any attempt for the North to attempt to hijack 2027 Presidential candidacy will spell doom for the coalition. It will be dead on arrival and transalate to authomatic relection of Tinubu.

But if the North will shun bigotry and ethnicity and support Peter Obi, by May 2027, we will be sure to swear in a New Nigeria headed by Peter Obi.

A New Nigeria is POssible.
