Happy birthday to the great
leader of Obidient movement, the greatest politician in Africa right now and
the greatest to come out of Nigeria in this 4th Republic sine 1999.
A quintessential leader extra ordinaire, our leader Peter Obi.
I remember the first time I worked
for you in 2019 under Atiku/Obi Ticket. I voluntarily left Abuja and relocated to
Anambra through the support of your campaign Manager Sir Oseloka Obaze.
It was my first interface with
you in person. The aura you exhumed was absolutely full of Competence, Character,
Commitment and Compassion. These 4Cs define whom you are.
A man of immense intelligence and
shrewd politician whose presence puts everyone at alert.
That life changing great
experience of meeting you in person and even joining in the media to interview
you at PDP campaign House in Awka became a life changing experience for me as
we all worked day and night to deliver your ticket Atiku/Obi in Anambra for PDP
in 2019.
Fast forward, as prelude to 2023
elections, I was one of the few voices in Obidient movement who joined your train
online right from the get go when they adjudged us 4 people tweeting in a room.
Infact, I wrote a piece on my blog www.bbcng.com begging you to please join the
Presidential race as we were all ready to give you our support in one way or the
other.
I wont forget your response on twitter,
that you didn’t have money for court cases. A clear prediction of what will
eventually be the fate of the election as INEC rigged you out and you had to go
to court seeking to retrieve your mandate which Supreme Court denied.
Out of the blues you took the bull
by the horn after officially declaring your interest before traditional rulers
in Anambra, by doing what no candidate had earlier done before, which was visiting
all the PDP chapters in all the 36 states of the federation, soliciting for
votes from the delegates and telling them why you were the best candidate for
the job.
PDP in their usual practice of
money politics underrated you and were only fixated on the Dollars they would
make at the primary, as a result of that, at the 11th hour you
heeded to our call as Obidients by resigning from PDP, with an assurance to all
of us your followers that your name would surely be on the balot box. A pledge
you fulfilled when you joined LAbour Party.
Consequently, you showed the whole
world that you are indeed the greatest politician to come out of Nigeria as you
united all Nigerians beyond ethnicity religion and what have you.
Your grassroots organic campaign which
was funded by ordinary Nigerians like us, went ahead to mobilize the entire
nation to vote for a New Nigeria which your candidacy symbolizes.
On electon day, INEC and their
team seeing the momentum, did everything by suppressing your votes across
Nigeria. First, they disenfranchised many people in South East and South South
by INEC officers coming late to polling boots thereby denying many people chance
to vote. In other zones, INEC and APC supporters simply changed the figures and
rewrote the figures to announce themselves winners.
INEC intentionally switched off
the so much talked about IREV having seen that you were winning the election
across Nigeria despite all their shananigans to suppress your votes.
Up till today, INEC has not come
out to tell the whole word what caused the so called glitch they claimed affected
the IREV.
We are committed to go the same
route again in 2027, this time we are poised to protect our votes toe to toe so
as not to give APC and their INEC collaborators space to rewrite the result.
The NNPP template in Kano where they followed their votes down to collation
centre and refused to go home until the results were announced must be explored
to the later this time. This is the only pathway to success in 2027.
The excitement across the nation
as we prepare for your Birthday says it all. It’s a reminder to those who think
that Obidient movement has either diminished or completely extinguished that we
are alive to that responsibility of building a New Nigeria.
Once again Happy Birthday to you
sir. You are undoubtedly the best and the biggest politician in Africa now toeing
the footsteps of our African past great leaders like Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, Nelson
Mandela, Kwame Nkruma et al.
We wish you success as the next
President of Nigeria come 2027.
