ANAMBRA STATE PASSES IGBO APPRENTICESHIP INTO LAW

Anambra Governor has signed the Igbo Apprenticeship Bill (Igba Boi) into law. Effective September 10, 2025, the law: • Gives legal backing to the Igba Boi system • Sets apprenticeship duration to 7 years • Requires basic education for apprentices • Establishes a Commission to register apprentices & resolve disputes. A bold step to modernize and protect the legendary Igbo wealth-creation model.

I wish to advise all South East states to follow suit as this will help to curb the restiveness of South East youths and vis a vis realign us back to the dream of our forefathers who used this line to recover from the devastation of the civil war.

Its almost another means of shared prosperity which is recognised by the Harvard school of Business.
The program is known for helping to promote growth and curb youth unemployment.

Many people from very poor homes who embraced this program became wealthy overnight.

Its indeed commendable to pass this into law and give it full legal backing.
