INEC Finally Recognises Sen Nenadi Usman as National Chairman of Labour Party, Drops Jululius Abure

 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has finally recognised the Senator Nenadi Usman led National Caretaker Committee leadership of the Labour Party (LP).

 

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja had last week affirmed the Caretaker Committee as the authentic leadership of the party as earlier affirmed by the Supreme Court.

The court had ruled that the tenure of Mr. Julius Abure had since elapsed and therefore his claim to the leadership of was invalid.

 

Following the successful service of the cour judgement on the electoral umpire, Sen Nenadi Usman and Hon Darlington Nwokocha have been uploaded on the INEC platform as National Chairman and National Secretary of the Labour Party respectively alongside other members of the Caretaker Committee.
