40 MILLION WOMEN VOTE FOR APC IN 2027: Taraba Women Mobilise 5,000 Households for President Tinubu-Shettima, Kefas

…Celebrate Betta Edu’s appointment, honour her with Award of Excellence

No fewer than 5,000 households, comprising mainly women, were reached in Taraba State on Saturday, September 19, as part of grassroots mobilisation efforts for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in 2027.

The event was supported by the Director of Women Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Dr Betta Edu, in collaboration with the Remi Tinubu Support Organisations (RETSO)

Participants expressed support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket and commended President Tinubu for appointing Edu as Director of Women Mobilisation, describing her as a grassroots-oriented leader capable of strengthening women’s participation in the 2027 election.

The Taraba State Executive of RETSO, led by its Women Leader, Hajia Rasheedat Ibrahim, pledged its cooperation with Edu. The National Coordinator of RETSO, Hon. Yusi Buba also coordinated door-to-door and community-to-community mobilisation.

The participants commended First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for initiatives targeting women, widows, children, and young people, particularly in social protection, empowerment, and human capital development.

The women’s wing of RETSO subsequently honoured Dr Betta Edu with an Award of Excellence in recognition of her contribution to women mobilisation during the 2023 presidential election and her service as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Buba said RETSO would continue working with Edu and other stakeholders to mobilise support for Tinubu and Shettima at the federal level and Governor Agbu Kefas at the state level ahead of 2027.

The delegation also visited the APC secretariat in Jalingo, where it was received by party leaders, including the Deputy Youth Leader, Comrade Idris Ayuba, before meeting the Taraba State Commissioner for Information.

The team later proceeded to rural communities, engaging residents through direct grassroots outreach.

Organisers said the exercise would continue across wards and communities using a “house-to-house, room-to-room and parlour-to-parlour” approach to communicate the achievements, programmes, and policies of the Tinubu administration, particularly to women.
