SENATOR JIBRIN BARAU PRESENTED REPORT ON FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, KABBA

In today’s plenary, distinguished Senator Jibrin Barau, Senator representing Kano North presented the report of his committee on TETFUND on FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE, KABBA (Establishment) Bill.

In his report as the chairman of the committee, he stated the following observations:

·         Public  Hearing as done on 20^th July 2017

·         Committee agreed intensions of the Bill

·         School established 1962

·         School has enough infrastructure to support the university

·         It will address educational needs of the region

·         In line with FG vision to diversify our economy into Agric

·         Offer special training in Agric

·         The courses are already accredited

·         Elevating the college will encourage youths to acquire university education in Agriculture

·         No extra financial implications required

·         All required structures are already in place from existing Ahmadu Bello College of Agric Campus

Recommendations

He called on the Senate to approve its recommendations to upgrade the University accordingly for the interest of people Kabba, Kogi State.
