NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SET TO ADJOURN TODAY

The National Assembly is set to adjourn today for Christmas and New Year Holidays. However, Budget defence with MDAs will continue with different committees doing their oversight functions.

The implications is that the 2018 Budget will not be ready before January 1ST as anticipated by the executive.

Apparently, you cant blame the National Assembly anyways because there is no way the process of passing budget will be accomplished within one month of submission by executive in November.

But certainly, the budget will be passed very early this year. According to a senator who did no want his name disclosed, the budget will be ready latest February.
