SENATOR OMO AGEGE APOLOGISES AS SENATE SETS TO SUSPEND HIM FOR HIS COMMENT ON THE ELECTORAL REVIEW PROCESS

Senator Omo Agege raised apologised to the Nigerian Senate today through a point of order he raised on the floor of the senate. This is sequel to the decision of the senate yesterday to investigate his comments over the electoral review process that changes the election timestable.

The Nigerian Senate had yesterday instructed its Committee on Public Ethics to investigate the comments credited to Senator Omo Agege that the electoral review process which is changing the election timestable is targeted at President  Buhari.

The Senate took the position yesterday after Senator Dino Melaye raised a point of order over the comments made by the Senator to the press.

The Committee is the same that investigated the comments against the Senate by Senator Ali Ndume when made so many allegations against Senate president Bukola Saraki. Eventually, Ali Ndume was suspended for 6 months.

Feelers from the public is that the Senator might suffer the same fate for attacking the institution of the senate and its constitutional responsibility.

The Committee is to report back within two weeks.
