Distinguished Senator Andrew Uchendu representing River East
spoke in contribution to Senate Motion on:
THE NEED TO LOOK INTO THE KILLINGS THAT TOOK PLACE IN ZURMI
L.G.A OF ZAMFARA STATE
He sympathized with the people of Zamfara State while
commending the Nigerian Senate over the just concluded Senate Security Summit
designed to address all these security issues across the country.
He said there is need to wait for the recommendations of the
Security Summit since it was designed to address the entire crisis nationally.
He said,
” I am optimistic that the security issue will be addressed
once and for all”.
He called on the Senate to wait for the outcome of the
resolutions at the summit as he is optimistic that something positive will come
out of the resolutions at the summit.
He finally thanked the 8th Senate for such a bold
step to address this issue fundamentally once and for all for the first time.
