SENATOR PHILLIP ADUDA SPEAKS IN SUPPORT OF EKWEREMMADU BILL ON COOPERATIVE COLLEGES

Indefatigable senator Phillip Aduda, the Minority Whip of the Nigerian Senate supported the  Bill on Federal Co-operative Colleges sponsored by Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremmadu.

In his contribution, he recalled that the colleges were established in 1976, and since then they have been churning out graduates without recognisable certificates because this bill is not there to regulate and legalize their establishment. Hence he said, when this bill is passed and it becomes law, those graduates will be accorded the appropriate recognition they deserve.

Also, the school will be awarding certificates in NDE, OND, HND etc and the certificates will be recognised he said.

He concluded by calling on the entire senate to support the Bill and pass it for Second Reading.
Finally, the Bill was passed for Second Reading and thereafter referred to Committee on Tertiary Institutions to report back in four weeks.
