Embattled Senator Dino Melaye who is in the battle of his life with Kogi State Governor reported to the Senate through a point of order today about the update on his case with Kogi State Police.
In his statement on the floor of the Senate, he reported that around 5am this morning, there was a jail break where the two criminals who fingered him as the person supplying them arms have disappeared without trace.
He said the Kogi State police was supposed to produce them in court today, only for the prosecutor to appear without the criminals.
According to him, instead, the prosecutor asked the judge to issue arrest warrant to Dino Melaye. This he said the judge refused to grant rather the case was adjourned to May 10th, 2018.
He went on to say that rumours have it that the criminals could either have been killed or moved away to avoid the Senate and international organisations he petitioned from unraveling the situation.
He called on the Senate to produce the two persons or he will sue the IG of police for intimidation and character assassination.
