Senate Minority Leader Senator Godswill Akpabio speaks in support of a motion which was placed before the Senate to investigate the recent threat by the Police to declare Dino Melaye wanted over the case of criminals arrested in Kogi who claimed he is their sponsor.
He said, left for him as PDP leader, he wouldnt want to delve into matter concerning APC state Kogi rather he would rejoice at the crisis in the state, but as a serious and elder statesman and Senator of the Federal Republic, he has to speak against the injustice against Dino Melaye in the state.
He said getting the facts clear, first there was a clear case of assassination attempt on Dino Melaye, while we await the final conclusion to that, another issue is emerging from no where.
He went on to say that people were arrested with regards to that issue but not much has been heard about it, only for the State to come up with another issue now.
Continuing he said he thinks there is just a ploy to silence Dino Melaye.
He finally gave his support to the motion for the Senate to investigate the case and report back accordingly.
