Nigerian Senate rose up today with an order for the IG of police to appear before it on May 2nd, after the IG refused to appear today as expected.
The Senate had earlier directed the IG to appear before it to explain the details of arrest for Dino Melaye and also the security situation in the country, but the Senate chairman Police Affairs Committee said the IG travelled to Bauchi with the President. He however said that the DIG was sent to represent the IG, but the Senate refused to receive the DIG.
This prompted a second chance to the IG, hence the senate resolved to summon him on Wednesday 2nd, May next week.
