Adequate Provision of Inclusive and Accessible  Basic Education for Children with Disabilities in Nigeria.
In the Motion the Senator representing Imo North, addressed the challenges the disable people among us face to acquire education and socialize themselves accordingly. Furthermore, he stated that according to UNICEF data, 95% of children with disability in developing countries are out of school.
Accordingly, he emphasised that Nigeria has signed up to 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Goal 4, with a target by 2030 to ensure all school children including those with disabilities have access to qualitative, functional  and effective basic education.
He opined that if disabled children are giving the conducive environment to thrive and grow their potentials, they will competently contribute their quota to National Development.
